Kyoorius Designyatra

In collaboration with Studio Moebius, we crafted the first digital Kyoorius Designyatra identity. The theme : Design is Dead. Long Live Design. The theme was deeply inspired by how the digital era has shaped the design industry and the impact of the world being turned on its head by the pandemic. 

We approached the identity through our lens of ‘layers’ and a marriage of digital and analog techniques within the context of Indian design. We created layers of gradients, patterns, borders, textures, typographic elements and motifs and used motion to bring it all to life.

Kyoorius Designyatra

In collaboration with Studio Moebius, we crafted the first digital Kyoorius Designyatra identity. The theme : Design is Dead. Long Live Design. The theme was deeply inspired by how the digital era has shaped the design industry and the impact of the world being turned on its head by the pandemic. 

We approached the identity through our lens of ‘layers’ and a marriage of digital and analog techniques within the context of Indian design. We created layers of gradients, patterns, borders, textures, typographic elements and motifs and used motion to bring it all to life.

Inspired by the mundane electric box you see while walking on the streets of the city, we thought it was a fitting symbol for Indian design culture. The electric box says ‘Stick No Bills’ but the words are often covered by layers and layers of bills and posters. Our intention was to create a bank of textures, patterns, motifs, borders, gradients and colours and layer these to form a visual cacophony bursting with ideas and colour.

We developed a whole range of animated assets: teasers, speaker templates, loopable videos, concept videos, website assets and social media posts.
